Audubon Prints

1985 Abbeville Press edition of John James Audubon’s famed The Birds of America, Double Elephant Folio printer proofs. Thanks to a generous donation, we will be offering a limited number of printer proofs throughout the year. Keep an eye on this space for more species and bring the magic of Audubon into your space!

Audubon chose “double elephant” size paper measuring 39.5 x 26.5 inches so that large bird species like the California condor below could be rendered at true life-size proportions. Smaller species, therefore, take up less space on the double elephant paper, allowing room for multiple individuals and species in dynamic compositions.

Pick-up at Bylane Farm.
