Group Visits & Presentations

Birding in Katonah by Janelle Robbins

We pride ourselves on being the local authority on birds and habitat—and would love to share our passion with your students or group!

While our Sanctuaries and Leon Levy Native Garden are free and open to the public every day from dawn until dusk, we also offer an impressive slate of free environmental education opportunities as well as customized programs for scheduled group visits, presentations, and special events that feature our professional staff.

Because we’re often conducting conservation research or restoration projects, we need to plan ahead to make sure we can accommodate your groups of 10 or more so know you’ll have the best possible experience.

Bedford Audubon also works with local community service organizations to make our programming available to more members of our community and to connect even more people with nature.

Group Visits to Hawkwatch

Hawkwatch Platform Katherine Dunn

Group visits (10 or more) to the Hawkwatch must be scheduled two weeks in advance with Bedford Audubon.

This program is available to be scheduled from 9am to 5pm seven days a week in September and October.

Email info@bedfordaudubon.org to schedule your Hawkwatch field trip.

Native Habitat Garden Tours

We would be happy to lead your group on a tour of the Leon Levy Native Garden! This is a perfect outing for a Garden Club, Naturalist Club, or Homeowners’ Association looking to incorporate native plants into the community landscape.

Garden Tours may be scheduled for May through September, and each month offers something new and different—so let us know what you’re most interested in seeing and learning about.

Email info@bedfordaudubon.org to schedule your Garden Tour now.
