Why I’m passionate about Bedford Audubon:

I’ve always loved to spend time outdoors exploring, and particularly the natural world, and Bedford Audubon’s aim to help more people to do this makes us a natural fit. Birds are all around us and people connect with nature through them every day. How often do you hear someone ask “what is that bird?”

And that’s the other great thing here: we have a naturalist who loves to answer that, and many other questions. Tait, along with all the many knowledgeable members, welcome questions, no matter how “dumb” they may seem—so you can’t help but know more every day.

More about me:

I call myself an “anti-consultant” as I like to help people get things done to make life easier and more profitable. My company works with large businesses to solve commercial challenges simply and flexibly, engaging their teams to build plans that deliver, and supporting them to achieve their goals. As someone who loves to learn, I’ve been lucky to work with many of the world’s leading organizations, constantly understanding more about the world we live in.

I hope that I can help Bedford Audubon in the same way they help me learn about a totally different aspect of our planet.

My favorite bird is the:

Coming from the UK most American birds are more fancy than those I’m used to, so I have to say the Pileated Woodpecker is pretty special.
