Historically we have relied on the dues of our local members
to underwrite the expenses of our chapter. These include the cost of running our
monthly programs, publishing and mailing our newsletter, maintaining Bylane and
the other BAS properties, and many other expenses.
We encourage everyone to support the work of Bedford Audubon
by payment of local membership dues. BAS now receives only pennies on the dollar
of dues that are sent directly to the National Audubon Society. This reduction
in assistance from National Audubon increases the financial responsibilities of
the local chapter. If you are not already a member of the society,
we invite you to join. Give a gift membership and share your appreciation for
the local programs and conservation efforts of Bedford Audubon.
